DRAGON DRAMA IS NOT A STAGE SCHOOL!
Children who come to Dragon Drama are already fantastic young performers who are natural in their acting style, unassuming, non competitive and happy. We encourage young imaginations to roam free, to grow strong, and to be unique. At Dragon Drama we believe that stage technique can be learnt when children are older or when they desire to learn it! (see LAMDA and Dragonsflight Theatre Company). What is much harder to hold onto as you get older is your creative mind and your confidence to express it. This is the mind that will make you a great scientist, a great teacher, doctor, parent, writer, politician, social worker, ....the list is endless. Without a mind that thinks outside the box there is only normality!
Over the last 21 Years, since 1993 when we were first established, Dragon Drama has developed a unique blend of acting exercises, group theatre games, and improvisational story devising/performance. Our aim at Dragon Drama is to encourage creative thought and banish any fear of failure! This has always been our ethos and it has never changed!
In a world full of digital entertainment, and identical FRANCHISES let's celebrate the importance of being INDIVIDUAL!
Dragon Drama Projects are diverse.
It's not only workshops and children's parties at Dragon Drama! We are currently preparing a Halloween Promenade play for Strawberry Hill House, a half term holiday programme for Young Carers at Holly Lodge in Richmond Park, and Christmas Extravaganza Performance at The Normansfield Theatre. We also provide an Acting Agency service and send our young dragons up for a select set of castings for good projects (current casting in progress is for BBC 'The Go-Between")

Hooray for the Start of Term!
Here is just one of wonderful comments we had back last week....
"I can't tell you how excited T was to re join you for the first session of the term yesterday. We produced a small count down sheet and he marked off the days to D-Day. Tom loves his time with you and of course Harry and is so happy. Thank you so much for the fabulous work and time you give everyone."
